The Poly-Planar MRD 60 stereo system is designed specifically for the marine industry. It is the most versatile and feature-rich system on the marine market. The front panel of the stereo is waterproof and does not require an additional cover when mounting the system on deck. The front panel folds down for easy CD loading and, once closed, a silicone rubber gasket keeps the unit hermetically sealed. A bright electroluminescent LCD display is easily visible both at night and in direct sunlight.
The system has an integrated 4-channel amplifier that produces up to 45 watts per channel for a total system power of 180 watts. The amplifier has a distortion limiting function that illuminates the clipping at maximum gain and provides high quality sound even at full volume.
A unique optional audio port and an optional wired remote interface allow the addition of features such as wired remote controls and intercom, preamp outputs for variable and fixed amplifiers, plus auxiliary inputs for sound sources such as a VHF radio or TV.
The system can be controlled from the front panel or via an optional full-function, waterproof, floating wireless remote control. The stereo system contains an integrated CD changer controller, so the optional MRD6 CD changer can be added at any time.
