Operating principle Hydropneumatic pressure equipment consisting of an electro-pneumatic pump, controlled by an ESPA ECD start-up system with digital regulation by means of a pressure transducer, for pressurised water supply. The pressure in the installation is measured in real time by means of a transducer connected to the discharge manifold. Depending on the pressure reading, the pump start command is managed at constant speed. Once a pressure value above the start pressure plus a preset differential has been reached, the electric pump is ordered to stop. For the correct operation of the equipment, a hydropneumatic accumulator of an adequate volume is required to minimise the starting and stopping of the motor. In the event of failure of the pressure transducer control system, the ESPA ECD controller can be operated by means of a pressure switch, which is not included in the scope of supply.
Equipment configuration Hydraulics The system consists of an electric pump mounted on a baseplate. A stainless steel non-return valve and a shut-off valve are mounted on the pump discharge, in this order. The delivery column is connected to the stainless steel delivery manifold.
The discharge manifold has an outlet with an isolation shut-off valve for the installation of the hydro-pneumatic accumulator. The transducer, which is wired to the ESPA ECD controller, is placed in the same discharge manifold. Electrical part The CPE1 and CPE1M series units consist of an ESPA ECD controller. The CPE1 units are supplied with an electrical cabinet that incorporates a circuit breaker for power line protection. It is recommended to install a separate line protected by a circuit breaker in the main switchboard.
Characteristics Maximum flow rate: up to 18 m3 /h. Maximum head: up to 90 mca. Maximum pump power: 4 kW. Fluid to be pumped: cold sanitary water. Maximum liquid temperature: 40 °C.
