Characteristics and benefits Results of biomechanical tests carried out by the Institute of Applied Hydrodynamics (INHA) in July 2003 - The BCN03 cork pads reduce the swell inside the competition lane by 80%. In this way, the wave caused by a swimmer's movement is practically absorbed, without producing any appreciable reflection effects. - BCN03 cork pads absorb up to 50% more waves than conventional cork pads. This means that each lane of the pool is affected as little as possible by the activity in the adjacent lane. How it works Each float has a mechanism made up of 24 turbines distributed in 6 axes. The water wave makes the turbines rotate, transforming the kinetic energy into mechanical energy which in turn is dissipated by friction, preventing it from being transferred to the adjacent street. Each turbine can rotate freely around its axis and the whole corridor can rotate around the cable. Technical characteristics - The outer casing is made of two pieces of technical plastics with characteristics that prevent swimmers from being injured by hitting against it. The inner parts are made of polyethylene and polypropylene. - The same float is available in the Eco version, which has the same aesthetics of the casing and the same colours but without the inner turbine mechanism. Available float colours: white, blue, red and green. - The corcheras are supplied assembled with floats and 6 mm stainless steel cable and hook.
