- The steps required to replace the diaphragm are detailed in the manual for your Zodiac Manta II:
- Grasp the Manta II body and unclip the cassette from the body. Pull the cassette out of the Manta II body.
- Hold the outer tube with one hand and unscrew the cassette completely.
- Grasp the diaphragm and pull it out of the cassette.
- Pull the diaphragm out of the inner tube without removing the retaining ring on the diaphragm.
- Manta II specificdiaphragm adjustment :
If the diaphragm slot opening is too large (more than 4 mm), without nevertheless the diaphragm being deteriorated or broken, you can remedy this by letting a rib of the diaphragm out of the cassette. This can eliminate efficiency problems: clogging of the cleaner, cleaning coverage problems, etc.
- Reassembling the diaphragm:
- Fix the diaphragm to the inner extension tube. If it is a new diaphragm, don't forget to replace the ring.
- Slide the top of the inner extension tube (end opposite the diaphragm) into the bottom of the cassette. The diaphragm should fit snugly into the bottom of the cassette.
- Re-thread the bottom of the cassette onto the outer extension tube of the cleaner, without over-tightening.
- Reinsert the cassette back into the body and rethread the outer extension tube / cassette assembly until it is snug.
